Folks
does anyone know whether the XY with Country Pack was a factory or dealer option, and what were the extras over a standard 500 wagon? |

Welcome Marjack.
Later 'Country Packs' (I'v seen an XC with one had twin fuel tanks and additional underbody protection / splash guards). I'm suspect these would have been dealer things, I can't recall ever seeing a factory code for this additional spec. Do you think you have one? Post photos.

From what the previous owner told me it does have the sump guard, heavy duty rear shockies. He also stated it had a LSD and auto. The compliance plate states the trans as code N, this is a manual, it is a column auto and from what I can tell has been that way since 71. Any theories on this. Wil post some pics in the next week or so, car is stored 160kms from where I am duty the week, so only see it weekends. |

Outback Pack was definitely an option in the XA XB range. Unsure about XY though - assume it would have had an outback option
Fuel Tank Rubber Guard Sump Guard Auto Trans Guard Rear shock base protection Some say later XB Outback Packs even had a diff air filter and a bigger washer bottle as well |

Hopefully I have attached a pic of the compliance plate. To the layman the car appears to be all original |
