If you want just straight pipe, have you thought about mild steel or stainless exhaust pipe.

Why not goto the wreckers and buy an EA intake pipe.

OK, this is getting a little confusing, can you post a pic of what you are trying/wanting to achieve please

But for the record the EA piping fits both the eec-iv and eec-v air box.

Jase, I think he's after something to replace the snorkel, but something that comes out under the bumper.

Gozza, check this thread out http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=20871

Oh i see, seems like alot of effort to suck up water and road grime, yes I thought about this mod, and decided against for that reason, I think the air flow via the XH is enough to support most applications of cam etc, i.e. not a real HP limiter.

Fair enough each to thier own I suppose, try doing a before and after dyno reading, or run a intake temp probe, would be interested to see if you gain cold air or not, theory is never the same as practical.

I reallly suggest using the EA intake for the 90deg bend part, a bit of pipe. metal or plastic, then another EA intake at the bottom, if you are trying to keep it all smooth, otherwise bendy pipe is the only option (ag pipe is cheap )

I had trouble finding the pipe for my CAI setup as well... I ended up buying one from autobarn its flexible plastic ribbed on the outside but smooth inside, easily makes it from the airbox to under the car I think it was around $20-30

Its not going to get into the engine in a hurry, thats what a filter is for, but it will get dirty very quickly I suspect, and you will find alot of dust and stuff in the bottom of the airbox.
