being fuel injected, does the conversion need to hav an engineers cert? putting the running gear in is the easy part for me, whats the best way to go about the wiring, ecu etc? feed the eb wiring loom into the corty or just pay someone to wire the ecu in to save having all the extra wiring hanging around? and would i just block the extra vaccuum hoses?

have you checked the engine clearance for the bonnet? OHC engine may be a bit higher than the older crossflow, and even these had very minimal clearance in the Cortina
The wiring would need the loom from the EB run through the car, Do you need to include the key and ignition with the ECU on this engine? Extra vacuum hoses?

Regarding the wiring/ecu part of the conversion. If its manual then conversion is easy. Auto requires a little more attention with the wiring
You dont need the whole loom just the the engine & ecu harness

cheers guys. i have no problems in modifying the engine mounts or bonnet for clearance if need be. so the best thing would to have a complete donor car yeah? i think there is a place that does harness conversions. to put the eb harness in, i would have to take the cortina harness out wouldnt i?

engineers cert usually needed for strucural differencs but some companies sell modified mounts that are already certified
