Hi, I have a 1997 Festiva Trio S which isn't starting. It had been running for about 30 secs when it just cut out.
The engine turns over fine, there is a good spark at all the plugs, the injectors are clicking, the fuel pump is running, fuel is getting into the cylinders. The fuel just isn't igniting at all, even after cranking it many times over the last couple of weeks. I would have thought that the engine would fire occasionally, even if the fuel is bad, or the engine is running lean or rich, or the timing is slightly off. I've tried everything I can think of with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion? |

Given the symptoms described it sounds like a failure of a sensor -I thought these were still carb rather than EFI?
Cheers Russ

Thanks for the response.
It is fuel injected. Do you know which sensors could be causing the problem? I've had plenty of experience with carby cars but efi is a bit confusing to me. Thanks |
