Default Mysterious 'structure' discovered on Mars

Quote:
An American 'armchair astronomer' claims he has discovered a strange structure on the surface of Mars while browsing Google.

David Martines was scanning Google Mars when he discovered the long white edifice and has even listed the coordinates (49'19.73"N 29 33'06.53"W) so others can see it for themselves.

Mr Martines posted a video of the 'station' on YouTube which has been viewed more than 200,000 times.

On the video, he talks through the discovery he has named "Bio-Station Alpha". "It's very unusual in that it's quite large, it's over 700 feet (210m) long and 150 feet (45m) wide. It looks like it's a cylinder or made up of cylinders," he says.

"It could be a power station or it could be a biological containment or it could be a glorified garage — hope it's not a weapon.

"I don't know if NASA even knows about this."

NASA and Google have yet to respond to media inquiries.

i've seen all sorts of vids about terrain on mars also , like trees and lakes , but really , i cant think why nasa /or scientists etc would not disclose this to the world , so in that respect , i can only conclude that these vids are fake .

The man involved in the "discovery" also lists the coordinates so you can go and look for yourself, does anyone know how to use coordinates on Google Mars to find areas, I have no idea?

I'm thinking of three possibilties, firstly it's something to do with NASA maybe left behind, or secondly someone at NASA or Google have added the object to the satellite images as a bit of a joke hoping someone will find it, or thirdly its just a purely naturally occuring rock formation.

If you go to google earth you will find that various things are missing.

When someone shows this thing on a totally independent system I will take notice.

I managed to find it. It is really blurry, but it does look to straight and blocky to be natural.

I guess we will probably never know exactly.

Perhaps it's the Mars Base that the Ur-Quan hierarchy have set up to keep an eye on us.

The Ilwrath and Spathi once surrounded us, but the Ilwrath withdrew to fight a war against the Pkunk. Only one Spathi remains...thankfully, it's just this guy...

I think we're pretty safe...

Love the bit of the video where he tries to describe it as like a truck stop for space travellers.
I don't trust Google Mars, so I had a look at Google Uranus ..... no structures found there, but I did see lots of Klingons!
