Default Yet another hypothetical.

You have won a prize that is a choice between two cars and includes all running costs and servicing. One of the conditions of the prize is that there can be no modifications to the vehicle in any way (for the doof doofs there can't be "secret" mods either). Breaking the rules means that you lose the car and aquire a debt for all the previous costs. You cannot sell it etc etc.

Both the cars are a brand you love but one is very quick and handles very well but is a boring colour and looks and sounds fairly ugly and ordinary, the other is not as quick, not as good on the road but looks and sounds GREAT.

Which one do you choose?

F6 is not ugly and that is not the purpose of the poll.

It could be comparing a XR8 to a SS or XR8 to a WRX or whatever.

The idea is to see if people think that looks are more important than performance or vice versa.

Goldstar = LG = Lucky Goldstar (Lifes Good is their slogan) /end useless knowledge. Most people don't know that let alone a 17 year old

I'd go the fast ugly car, having a nice looking car without guts is like having a supermodel girlfriend with no vagina IMO.

I chose the slow good looking one.

Why? because for 95% of the time I drive in a sedate manner on or below the limit, so a fast ugly car will have no benefit to me other than the fact that it will be useful perhaps for the 5% of the time I flang my car down the M5 some early mornings.

Anyhow I drive the car not look at it. And I really could not care less what others think, the same car would be ugly to some and not to others, like your quote above for e.g.
So I choose the fast one. Regardless of what it looks like. And with fully paid up fuel I could drive it fast.

Boring, ugly car that performs. That way I can have fun and it hopefully wont get stolen. If they are covering the servicing then it doesn't matter if you thrash it on trackdays.

I went for the "The less fast pretty one"

Reason being, is that is says "less" fast. Which to me means it is proberly quicker than anything I've ever owned, and being a good sounding, good looking car will do fine for the streets where 110km/h is all you can do.

I'm superficial, I'd go the pretty one. I am assuming by "not as quick" and "not as good on the road" that it's not a complete lump of doodoo to drive though.

90% of the time on public roads we cant take advantage of having a quick, powerful, great handling car, so it's best to have a compromise IMO.

Seeing as I don't race my cars (track) I don't see the point getting the fast ugly one.

I also live in Victoria so no point in having a rocket of a car.

Also whats meant by less fast?? It could still be quick but not 12 second quarter mile quick.

Less fast but pretty. What's the point of a girlfriend who's great in bed if you can't stand looking at her?
