Hello All,
The Sunday show and shine arrangement for 2019 has changed to a Sunday only entrant arrangement. Sunday entrants will now be able to cruise on the cruise route, enter in the grass events, do burnouts at tuff street, and there will be prizes for the show n shine on the oval. There will be a trophy for the best Sunday cruiser on the cruise route, and 1st, 2nd & 3rd for the grass event (Sunday Entrants only) as well as show n shine trophies. The new Sunday entrant category is open to all club members of clubs that are affiliated with the Council, and their target is enthusiasts with cars that aren't modified enough to be full entrants. They don't care what year or model the cars are, and they also don't care if the vehicle is not associated with the club (i.e. someone in the Miata club could bring a commodore as long as they are a full club member). The cars have to be registered and the driver has to have a current license (no learners). There is a cost associated with the new entrant category of $80 per car (which includes 1 Sunday entrants pass, 1 vehicle pass and 1 free passenger pass). If the person already has a season pass it will be free, and if they have a Sunday pass already it will be $25 extra. Additional passengers have to purchase a Sunday pass at full price, and children 10 and under are free. The vehicles will be scrutinized, people will pay and entrants stickers will be issues at the meet point on Sunday morning (yet to be finalised where). The club has to provide a list of members who want to purchase a Sunday Entrant spot to Summernats by the 18th of December (I have the email address). Please RSVP if you plan to attend this, and if you are going to the December meeting I will be talking to about it then as well. We usually need to meet in the Dickson College car park by no later than 8.15am (Corner Antill Street and Phillip Avenue, DICKSON) Vehicles can only enter via Gate 4 (which is beside the Shell Service Station), please note that your car will be searched upon entry to the grounds as well. Follow the directions of the security and Summernats staff to the main arena (the same as last year), this will be done for our club all together after meeting in the college carpark we will proceed to gate 4 as a group. We will be setting up our two 6x3m Marques at this event When: Sunday 6 January 2019 Time: Meet @ Dickson College Carpark by no later than 0745am Cost: $80 for your car and 1 passengers, open to club members only. The club will also have the trailer there with club BBQ in it so I suggest we all bring BBQ stuff for lunch like we did last year.
