Anyone know of a larger TB that will fit the Australian Duratec?
I'm thinking a reflash will be in order too so I don't want an oversees ecommerce site to buy from, I need a local supplier. Many thanks in advance... |

There was a thread about intakes before, and we came to the conclusion that the TB can support a lot more power than what its putting out already. Do the rest of the intake and exhaust first.
If you still want one, you'll need one that works flawlessly with the electronic TB control. Perhaps have a look at BA Falcon TBs? Perhaps looking at a port and polish of the current TB inside. Its a pretty cheap to do with a dremel. |

70mm TB with 65mm inner. That size is usually good to support up to 180kw at least, some of the 6cyl guys have found they lose power with a 70mm+ tb. A larger throttle body will make it a pig to drive, the accelerator pedal will become a on-off switch. |

Thanks BlackLS,
I must admit I haven't removed anything to measure yet but it looks like the standard TB can be opened out to 63mm from standard 55mm. A bore and new butterfly may work. All part of an evil plan.. |
