Ford Numbers -
Ford Escape 321 Ford Everest 812 Ford Fiesta 10 Ford Focus 4 Ford Mustang 309 Ford Puma 253 Ford Ranger 4x2 446 Ford Ranger 4x4 3664 Ford Transit Bus 0 Ford Transit Custom 403 Ford Transit Heavy 29 Ford Total 6251 Tansit Custom seemed to do well for the month. Interesting to see so many Mustang's delivered. These would likely be fulfillment of some long-standing orders, but I expect the numbers to plumet as they transition to the new model, which won't hit Australia till early next year.

Ford Puma puts in laughable sales every month for a car they have stock of, the Mustang consistently outsells it - how long until it's culled like the Escape?

I just did a quick check of Ford Ute South east Qld dealers=dealers have an average of 2 new Puma per dealer. Some have zero. Melbourne may be different. Or Essendon Ford Ute may be different. Or Sunbury Ford Ute may be different. But Ranger v Puma is ten to twenty times more stock. So Ford of Europe are not sending them here-- popular in Europe or Ford Ute (Aus)are not bringing them in in quantity as they realised the name badge does not say Ranger or Everest and are confused. Reports indicate electric Puma arrives end of 2024. Petrol Puma will probably die then as there has been no''demand'' due to the fact Ford Ute didnt bring them in. Interestingly there is a new Fiesta ST at Moreton Bay Ford in Brisbane. |

They only have two models, an SUV with a closed boot area, and the same SUV with an open boot area.

I thought the same when I saw a stack of Rangers and a few Transit Customs (anything more than one down this way is a shock to dealer staff at Brighton Ford)...however they were all allocated and just awaiting their turn through PD.

Ram Trucks Australia's record run is a stark contrast to the woes of its US stablemate Jeep, which has reported a 27 per cent slump to just 2014 new vehicles as sold so far this year and ranks 31st behind truck company Hino on the official sales tally. Ouch. |

I rocked into Essendon Ford Ute and they had a stack of new ones right out the front of the showroom, so there's certainly new stock sitting at dealerships here in Melbourne, they're not unobtainium like other popular options are.
Model Y sales are strong, I wonder if this is because people choosing Model Y rather than Model 3 now there's a pavement princess SUV option. |

Ford Ute may preference Melb dealers because its closer to Webb Dock incurring lower distribution costs. I dont understand Model Y. It s incredibly ugly. |

Agreed. The styling is offensive to the eye.

Re Puma
Top selling vehicle in UK for May 4184 sales with delays to get one It sort of confirms that Ford Ute Aus just can’t get the right numbers of a Puma situation normal. |

"Ford says it is on track to start local deliveries of the F-150 in the second half of this year, while the Toyota Tundra is due to formally go on sale next year if a trial of the first 300 validation vehicles proves successful." Knowing Ford, that will probably end up being the second half of next year.

With the puma, i wonder if its a chicken and egg thing. Few want them, so FOA scale down the orders, and on it goes. Maybe they're trying to focus on (sorry) selling more profitable mustangs and rangers. A little surprised that theres still a market for relatively expensive dual cabs, given rate rises. But that's another story.

So the collective we are now referencing the pick-up market as the Thailand Special segment.
Why do I get the feeling that we will all soon be all calling Ford by the name of Ford Ute?

last update I saw was expectations to showrooms from July on.....
So whats the big flip going on here 1 -Toyota HiLux – 5772 2 – Ford Ranger – 4110 New arrivals for the ol platform Toy and Ford Ute sold out not enough back in ? Huge flip. Christ LC pumped up, more new stock arrived and those RRP's arn't cheap. Why can't they get enough Everests. Large SUV < $70k Toyota Prado (1435) Isuzu MU-X (1110) Ford Everest (812) Fugly Prado again old but still there and fugly MUX omg. Will Everest ever make the ground to challenge or do consumer/s and Fleets just see Prado as the out and out 4x4 SUV and better support for parts etc....

Yes, they must be filling some orders as I never seen so many new ones getting about here.

Thats generally what Prado fans say, look at any quality vehicle comparison and the Everest IS well and truly a match for the Prado and IS in the same class.

So the monthly figures are basically dependent on how many ships you can get to dock. And then not get flagged in quarantine for cleaning, which is being further and further backlogged. Ford have even reverted to having cleaning crews actually on the ships to double check everything to hopefully avoid being flagged for cleaning. But quarantine inspectors are being so over zealous they will literally flag a whole boat for cleaning if they even find the slightest little bit of contamination. As you can see with the results, they are up and down like yo-yo's. Everest outsold Prado for a few months because they couldn't get supply, now Prado has gone back to the top after getting decent supplies, while heaps of Everests sit on boats. All you can really do is take the average over quarters, halves and full years to get an accurate number. |
