So, I have a few questions about my new Mondeo (2017 Titanium wagon) appreciate any help anyone can give:
1 Can I make the proximity sensor come on at the front when parking? 2 is it possible to use the default GPS not Apple map when the phone is connected via USB? 3 Can you change the display in the center of right gauge? It seems to only show the lane guidance/collision detection. 4 When I picked up the car there was a round plastic "donut" wrapped in a plastic bag in the cup holder. Any idea what it's for?

1. they're always active.
2. yes start the nav set course away you go. Then try music from the phone for music?!? 3. not sure but my experience is no that or needle. 4. dunno but could be for padding for irregular cups.

1. It should just work when it picks up something within the defined areas of the front sensors. There is a switch to turn the front sensors off near the Stop/Start and Self Park Switch.
2. Yes. Assuming you have Sync3, charging via USB / 12volt socket is fine. You should be able to use Apple Car Play / Android Auto independently. However once within either of those two features, you can head back home to the main Ford GPS / system. 3. Also Cruise Control details. In overseas model you can view the Road Signs also... 4. That is for Coffee Cups for the cup holder. To raise the base of the drink higher... Did the dealer do a pre-delivery with you? Also, the owners manual will be some good reading now you have the car!

Thanks guys. For 2 my issue is that when I plug my phone in, it changes to Apple Car Play. Then when I go to navigation it uses apple maps via my phone rather than the inbuilt gps. Problem is around where I live there is patchy mobile reception and so data loads slowly. So I'd rather use the inbuilt GPS, but like having car play for the other functions.

There is a setting to switch of apple play in the settings. Once you switch off apple play, apple maps will not come up.
You can still play your phone music over Bluetooth (select your phone in "source" & use your phone / contacts etc, + apple maps will not come up. I just leave apple play off, the built in nav is quite good. |

Is there a way to permanently disable start stop, find it annoying having to disable it every time I get in the car.
I'm driving sometimes a 2017 Mondeo too. |
