Thanks Russ and Laminge, We are based in Port Macquarie, which is on the mid north coast of NSW, a couple of us have been working hard to develop a Ford car club for the past 10 months, and we finnally did it on the 19th November, where we had our first AGM and signed up 28 members on the day, and signed up 7 members during last week, which made 35 members in the first week of operation. We already have 6 sponsors that are very willing to help the club grow, and we have the local dealership 100% behind us ( Andrew Miedecke Ford ) which is quite awesome, as Andrew Miedecke himself has always showed plenty of time for us and ill say he will be attending a few runs with us, and since he used to drive for Ford at bathurst with the likes of Allan Moffatt and Peter Brock he has some great storys for us. We are the only Ford club on the coast from Newcastle to the Gold Coast, so that is a huge area. We accept ANY model of Ford as there was so many people with diffrent types of cars wanting to join the club. We have 2 holden car clubs in Port Macquarie, so there is alot of eagerness to have some sort of interclub competition already. We are still accepting members in the area, and the local newspaper and radio station support has been great and they are wanting to know our every step so they can announce what we are dooing. Ill stop for now but thanks guys for letting us in and im quite sure within the next couple of weeks we will be attracting a whole heap of new members to the Ford Forums.

Off and running Gordo. Well done. :sm_headba

I will post the next run for the MNC Fords here in the coming days. The level of enthusiasm at the committee level is great and should be a sign of good things to come.

Where are you at Kommandant? We hope to broaden the geographical coverage beyond the Hastings. The are plenty of excellent places to go for runs up and down the coast.

Hi Jeff.....We hold a club run every last sunday of every month. And in between that the club will be running social events where the toy cars are left at home and we just go out as a group and participate in an event, but that wont be starting until Febuary as alot of people are still on holidays and just returning to work. The club only formed in December and we have over 40 members alredy, so yes we are growing very quickley and yes this WILL be a very big club, and from Febuary there will be club events evey fortnight being social or a official club run. Alot of members do not know about the forums yet but we are trying to overcome that, our website is in design mode at the moment and hopefully up and running in Febuary. But if you have any more questions...just ask.

I'm sure thunderoo or nj351 can answer your question more fully (or someone else?), but, from what I've been told, the club is trying to have a formal run at the end of every month. And I think there will be other informal meets too.

Being a new club, things are still getting started, but the growth rate so far has been huge!

Had an awesome run up to Woolgoolga for the Aus Day long weekend (camping trip). There wasn't a large number of cars, but a great time was had by all. I expect some pics will be up soon!

(Gordon: my ankle is starting to heal up, LOL. Still a bit multi coloured... No more drink-walking for me!)
