Default New 3 valve record

Guys and Girls,

Craig "3v King" ACE is out at calder at the moment beating on his own 3v record in a clients vehicle.

12.66 @ 109, 1.86 60ft.

Young Robby (owner) is about to have a steer........

Usual mods, Bluepower/ACE air system
Bluepower while-you-wait custom tune
Bluepower spec diff and converter
and this week we picked up 12rwkw by ditching the paceys and fitting a difilippo system.

Car weighed in at 1650kg without driver, still heavier than Craigs.

Not bad for a little truck motor.......

Well done to all involved. It shows that ACE and Bluepower can get these 3 valvers going quite quick :

Excellent time, well done guy's.....the 3 valve seems to be responding to the bolt-ons as good as the Big Boss.
1650kg how much does the 3V weigh from factory, is it a ute or sedan?

12.5 Wow.... I am starting to think the 3 valve may be a better V8 package when you consider they are a cheaper Falcon to start with.
The 3V is having us much power pulled out of it as the boss 260.....excellent work.

Its a shame Ford or dropping these engines. :

For sure, shows how much these 3v's can be improved, or how much they are restricted in stock form

Good work guys, top time for the supposedly-called "lesser" 5.4!

Contender?

Hey man the 3 valver is just about leading the way in the "sedan" class.

1 = Dave C GT 12.46
2 = Bobby 3V 12.58
3 = Me 3V 12.71
4 = DABOSS GT 12.91

The top 4 has 2 GT's and 2 x 3 Valvers.

Can't see any XR8's in there anywhere.

Cheers Craig

Settle down there now fella, someone get a hose quick and some raw meat with a tranquilizer.

Folks it might be an idea to not taunt this particular exhibit, aka CRAIGUS ACEOUS MAJORIS, if only you could see the look of blood lust in his good eye last night, without doubt one of the scariest things I have ever seen, and the look in his eye was pretty bad too :

But seriously though a top effort once again, have been there now for both the 3V records so far, mate I rekn you gott start payin me to be your lucky charm. Well done Craig and Chris for yet another top setup, I wonder how long now before we start seein BA company cars at Calder again :dr_Evil:

Thanks for the kind words everyone it's much appreciated, it's always nice to fly the ford flag at the drags and to come out on top. When preparing the car yesterday i said to the owner (Bobby) this thing is going to eat my record it's just a tough car.

1st run 1.86 60ft 12.66 @ 109.03 (Me driving)
2nd run 1.86 60ft 12.67 @ 108.80 (Me driving)
3rd run 1.86 60ft 12.67 @ 108.70 (Me driving)
4th run 1.83 60ft 12.63 @ 108.61 (Bob driving)
5th run 1.79 60ft 12.58 @ 108.84 (Bob driving)
6th run 1.86 60ft 12.69 @ 108.66 (Bob driving)
7th run 1.82 60ft 13.37 @ 106.15 (Me driving hit the limiter on the 1-2 big time my mistake)
8th run 1.78 60ft 12.60 @ 108.18 (Bob driving)

The car is a BA XT 3 valve sedan, auto in race trim like my car was at the last AFF Drag day.

We at ACE are extremely pleased that the R & D on our own cars can be put to good use on our customers cars with great results. Now i need to get my own car flying. And i better change my signature. :

Cheers Craig
