Hey fellas, does anybody know if the WS Fez front seats are a straight fit into a WQ. The WQ seats are just too flat and unsupportive. XR4 ones are rare as well.
Say I got seats from any other car, say a WRX for the argument. Would someone be able to fit them. Who would do that, and at what cost? I was reading elsewhere for it to be fully legal you need an engineer to look over it as well. Understandable I guess. Thanks. |

Early WRX seats fit but you have to have rails made for them, only other option is to have the seats re-done by an upholsterer!!!
I was looking into just replacing the 'bubbles' on my seats but can't figure out how to remove the rear seat base to make the start!! Cheers

These WS seats have Airbags inside, would it be an hassle to have them re-wired or something?

I don't think the CL does, but there should be a connector under the seat for side airbags from memory (Ford used a generic wiring loom for WQ)

Upholsterer. I wonder if they could build more of a wing on the bottom bit, there's not much seat to work with. I'll have to go to an upholsterer to see how much they would charge to make a rail to fit another seat. Around 200 would be OK.

Upholsterers can add foam and the like to make the seat more to your liking.
Its probably easier than sourcing new seats and then getting new brackets made up too... |
