Default Honda fly's high.

Honda successfully logs first maiden jet flight

Quote:
HONDA’S first business jet has logged its maiden flight ahead of its expected certification and delivery next year.

The Japanese company said, in a weekend press release, the 84-minute flight of the first production HondaJet took place on Friday near the world headquarters of Honda Aircraft, the aviation subsidiary of the car giant, in Greensboro in the US state of North Carolina.
No word yet that "hitting Vtec" operates the afterburners...

Should spend their money on cars that arent crap and outdated. I mean, they still have 5 speed autos and still waiting for turbo engines.

Still using the K series engines from the early 2000s, they were in 2010 when I was working there lol.

They're just riding on a reputation they built up from the 80s/90s and early 2000s, when the brand actually meant something other than outdated over-priced white goods trash.

Shame that the company pulled a Toyota and stopped innovating and started turning out boring white goods, the Integra Type R, S2000 and NSX were excellent cars.

Can't even claim them as Japanese anymore as the only one coming from Japan is the Accord Euro, the rest are coming from Thailand.

Except the Legend I think, but I only ever saw two of those.

Wonder how much fat there is in one of these? They would cost a mint to R&D I'm sure!

No, when Vtec kicks in this happens:

That's what's called a pocket rocket. It has taken quite a number of years to get it to this stage however. Some 8 years or so ago the office where I was working was doing some work on it.

Seems there is an Air V-Tech system, if you read the comments at the end of this article.

They did have a good reputation back in the 1980's. The slide downhill wasn't realised by that many however. The earlier Euro was pretty good though, but that was about it.

I reckon the latter Euro is so much better than the first gen one.

This could go a long way to improving the brand here in Aus...
