what download programs do you use to download music software ect ect...

Kazaa lite, or i use torrents, which is really a program, more of just a direct download.

I use kazaa lite.... normally find anything... some things are hard and there is a lot of corrupt files around...

Limewire rocks and Bittorrent always find what I want. Limewire flys if you get pro and I use Azureus for bittorrents nice interface easy to use lots of options

i used to use winmx but it sucks big time now guys

i use ares now, on dial up i can do 3 175mb files in a forghnight on and off, i only dload at night when im sleeping

lol that's exactly what I do. Usually I load up my list and run Ares all night, wake up in the morning and 80mb has been downloaded ;)

Used to use Limewire until it crapped itself a couple of days ago. so back on to kazaa lite. might give ares a go

I use mirc all the way. You can get the quickest downloads and has everything you could imagine. Just not exactly user friendly for all those noobies.

Same here, takes a bit of time to get your head around if your just starting out. It has the best download speeds out of everything else I've tried and you can get practically anything you want if you know which servers and channels to go to. ;)

i sometimes use IRC for downloading too... i mainly use it for movies.

There's a real easy way to find what servers to use. just go to packetnews.com and enter what your looking for. It will display your search results, just click on the file you want and will take you to the server and channel needed. just hit "control + v" when in the channel and will paste the xdcc send request. Hope that makes sense.

Kazaa installs too much memory intrusive crap on the computer... gotta hate the gator adware! I've been using WinMx, but it's not been friendly lately... I'll be looking at the other programs mentioned here, for sure!

I think ares has slowed down alot from what it used to be.. it takes longer to search things somtimes and ques alot of the time

IRC never works for me, i drop below the cp limit and the download drops out, then i try to resume and it never reconnects unless i delete the downloaded portion :(
