Hi all, i cant find my starter relay on my 2004 LR focus LX model.
I looked at the workshop manual here on the forums but the manual doesn't match what's in my car or what's in my owners handbook. The workshop manual says K22 in the CJB is the starter relay, owners manual says its an Ignition relay. K22 on my car is definitely an ignition relay, ie. it clicks as the ignition is turned on and off and not when the starter is engaged. The w/s manual also says that Fuse 8 is the starting system. The owners book says this is an ignition fuse. I cant feel any relays click when the starter is engaged. I am chasing an intermittent no crank. Ive tried all the "fixes" here on the forum and also any that google search has returned. I have noticed over the past couple of days is that when i slam the passenger door, while the key is in the start position, the starter will engage. Any clues please..... |

More details of vehicle will help -auto or manual - engine type not just 2.0ltr etc. as there seems to be a lot of variations
Have you checked in under bonnet fuse box also - try relay 13 or 1 if auto it possibly has a inhibit relay as well Check all connectors at internal fuse box are pushed in tight |
