Talking Cyclone Larry - Show N Shine Fund Raiser

Hi Guys,

Great news - the show has been offically announced and details follow -

Lets get together and attend the show and assist this great cause.

Pacemaker Holden Vs Ford Super Sunday - Penrith - May 7th

This event is to assist those people affected by Cyclone Larry in the Innisfail Area.

The Motoring Fraternity of Sydney and Australia will join together at the Penrith Panther’s Exhibition Centre and the surrounding area in one of the biggest Motoring Day’s ever to “Do our Bit” to help the Folks devastated by Cyclone Larry.

The planning for this event started the day after the Cyclone and from Day one a small group of volunteers in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Queensland have worked solid to establish this Big Day.

The big issue for AME was how do we make this happen when we have the Perth Autoteknica on April 7-9 and our inaugural Tasmanian Event… The Hobart International Motor Show on May 26 - 28. A comment came from deep in our office……we have Cars, an office to work in, power, phones, water, sewerage and a home to go to and many of the Cyclone affected still won’t have these amenities in12 months….we have to make it happen! ENOUGH SAID, it’s time for action.

At 4.10pm last Friday 24/3/06, the Penrith venue was booked and away we go.

The event is open to everything on wheels from Bikes to Trucks in any make or model and will be everything we can throw at it in 7 hours. It will open to the Public at 10am on Sunday 7th May and will run until 5pm. The Venue has enough “Perfectly Grassed Area” for 1200 Cars…. And we hope to fill it.

There will be entertainment a plenty with Live Bands, DJ, Demonstrations, Auction (this will be HUGE), Dyno Challenge, Trade Stands, Visiting Celebrities from all walks of life plus you and all your friends.

The TV and Radio Stations will be plugging the event for Free to do their bit and a small army of volunteers will make it all happen.

The event is six weeks away and gives us plenty of time to get set. We already have most things in place and a host of Exhibitors wanting to be part of it.

Entry for cars into the GOOD GUY‘S SUNDAY is $30 which will include your partner and 2 Children. Other Donations can be made at various activities during the Day. Entry into the Dyno Challenge is an extra $30. Public entry through the gate will be $10.

All information and Entry Forms and on the following link -

http://www.ameshow.com.au/goodguy/goodguy_sunday.htm

Lets help make a difference

Ciao - James Kingdom - Member of many Clubs

Hi Scott, had an email from Steve today and he is going to pass it onto the Events Member and come along as an official event.

Hope to see a great turn up of vehicles along to support the cause - Aussies for Aussies.

OK Guys - Lets get the list started. I will be with the Street Fords Display.

I thought we would have had a good response considering that quite a few of the members come from the Penrith area and it is for a very good cause.

Ciao - James

So is the meeting place here or at Jims?

If no one knows where either of these places are do you want to meet at the Maccas on the freeway before hand?
