Default LPG too?

Does Jim Mock Motorsport do LPG tuning as good as petrol?
I have been looking around and I am very impressed, I have the engine described in my tag and I want to know if Jim Mock is the way to go for a tune and a bit of work.
Havent seen any mention of LPG anywhere so I thought I should ask.

I emailed them a while ago about fitting a DEV4 kit to the AUIII Forte LPG we used to have, and got an email back from Jim, saying they do LPG work, and that the DEV kits work fine with the LPG motors.

I asked this question on here a while ago with regards to a DEV 5 set up and on LPG you can expect around 150rwkw where as on petrol about 170rwkw. Simply due to the gas mixer restriction.

Gas systems are tricky at times....

Depending on the gas system and its components depends on how well it can be tuned.

Some fully electronically controlled gas systems can't be tuned at all but with some mods the correct gas mixtures can be reached for good power.

Yes we can tune most gas systems.

True Gas engines, ie AU gas, are a tricky setup also and are actually quite powerful from factory, however adding a good exhaust and a cam will still improve power, but expect nothing close to the kits true power value. Due to gas mixer sizes acting as a BIG restriction.

So for what I am after .... I might be better off going for a low-boost S/C setup then.

yeh i rang them up last week regarding this. I was thinking of getting the dev3 kit. However its probly not worthwhile on gas. Might just get exhaust and intake mods instead.

No incorrect,

With the gas systems the restriction is in the intake with the gas mixer. A typical gas mixer has a hole about 2" round which would definately restrict things a bit.

The power will be restricted on both petrol and gas, with most of the time petrol producing upto 150 rwkw and gas sometimes upto 140wkw.

Just out of interest, what sort of power would an EF make with a DEV 3, or DEV 3HL on lpg/petrol? Is the power output only limited when running on lpg or does petrol also see reduced kilowattage?

a good tuned dev 3hl auto should make 140-145kw on petrol
u may have a less power becasue of the intake
