Hi
2007 Focus TDCI 2.0i approx 175K on the ODO Coming back from the coast today, I noticed the temperature sitting very low Checked and my Coolant tank is contaminanted with Oil. (Very very Black oil) However checking my oil cap and dipstick, seems to be okay. Not contaminated. Has anyone else experienced this, could be head gasket or something more? Suggestions would be appreciated. Thank to all |

head gasket most likely may pay to check under oil filler cap on the engine to ensure no water getting into the oil as it shows uop as a sort of foam sludge under the cap

Checked and no Foam under the Oil filler cap. Thats the mystery
I have called some auto mechanics and they have advised to check with a specialised Diesel Mechanic. After some calls, mechanics are suggesting that could be - Oil Cooler - Turbo (If its Water Cooled)- Unsure if this is the case - Head Gasket Still trying to find someone to diagnose it and give me a estimated cost to repair. However based on the potential issues, seems like it will be scrapped, due to the current value of the car. : |

Just a quick update.
Mechanic looked over it, and said definitely the oil cooler. Will let the community know how this progresses. |

So a new oil cooler was installed, and multiple coolant flushes occurred, car is back at home.
Will be back at the mechanic for another flush is a weeks time. Hopefully I am passed this. The oil is a very difficult process to clean out. Its getting to a stage where the costs to fix, is far outweighing the value of the car. /close thread :( |
