Default Territory receiving a face lift and rear end treatment??

Just saw a Territory coming out of Ford in Broady with front bra and rear end covered in black. Same doors, same roof, different wheels and what looked like projector headlights and different headlight lining on the territory

So when is this beast coming out?

Territory is looking real old now, and is in desperate need of some major sheet metal changes.

What we'll see in a few weeks will be a bit of a nip and tuck. That's all. Territory is fast falling out of favour with the buying public - the quality, rust and ball joint issues are now common knowledge unfortunately.

I think Ford have dropped the ball on the Terry. Which is a shame because its probably the best designed vehicle this country has ever done.

Theres def some mech changes as well, we're doing some new parts for the Steering column which will bring it inline with Orion (FG) steering setup.

I think the interior will be much more FG like as well (wouldn't be surpised if its common).

I would be like what EF was to ED.

Yeah, pretty much what I thought. Same roofline, turret but with a different face.

Think ED Wagon to EF wagon. That'll pretty much be on the money.

Not enough to reverse the tide methinks. Stand a Terry next to a Captiva and you are looking at 100 years difference.

I know the Captiva is a newer design, but the reality is the Terry is an old design. Looked dated even when new.

Basically.

The rear will have some work done, so the EB-EF Wagon analogy isn't quite correct. The interior is having some major work done, and the exterior will bring it into line with the FG. The doors are also getting some work done to them, but that may not be sheet-metal.

It is true.

As for the front suspension and steering rack, FG took Territory's rack, and continued its development. Territory will be therefore taking Falcon's advancements and implementing them.

Don't stress people. There is a new Territory out next year. There is enough misinformation spewing out of this relatively new thread, that it is little wonder why people are getting confused.

Territory already had a forward-mounted rack, the FG was a development of the Territory front end.

IM guessing new lights and front bar, new rear lights and bar, and the plastics on the doors being changed to mimic the styling crease in the FG

It is a continual topic here. If it was fixed, it wouldn't keep being raised ???

Because then there would be hundreds of qualified panel beaters and spray painters out of work.

Really though, is rust that big of an issue with these cars?
On the AU LWB cars, they used to get rust bleed near the boot channel where the outer skin was welded to the frame, but by series 2 that was eliminated.
I'd proffer that Ford having paid claims for rust would have investigated and instituted new processes to prevent the rust from occurring.

BA's get rust in the boot lap joint under the rear window and I've seen an FG with rust in the same spot.
