Default Seen This Down The Street..

I've seen it twice now I think they pick someone up from around here, this show room stopper of a car even has matte black stripes on the bonnet only.

Not the best picture will have to grab another but it has a nice tasteful drift wing on the back.

God I wonder why people wreck fords like this >.<

Really? it's horrible, I drive past it often and think, if you wanted a Skyline, go buy one, it's not even professionally done it all looks DIY.

so true.
they probably dream of owning a nice new XR someday but for now for whatever reason all they can afford is an old e series and have done some cheap home made mods to it to make it something different. good on them for atleast having a go with what they have.
could be a first year apprentice. give him a few years he might be building the countries top customs. you just never know. .......

........ or he could be just some stoned out bogan

Can't say I know any Apprentice Mechanics that do these sort of mods without doing it properly.

I see that you guys don't like to bash on people for originality, sure good on him.

But in a general taste, it's like trying to make a pig into a bird, just doesn't work.

But hey if he eventually designs some really nice cars, I'll eat my words and maybe give his cars a shot, haha.

Where I live the drift wing and stripes are tame.

Example:
1. Black honda with no exhaust bar a 5" cannon on the back, spray can black wheels and 1 tail light.

2. VS commodore with clear tail lights, no rearbar, lowever by makita, exhaust by "what happens if I unbolt this?"

3. AU falcon with full bodykit in primer, massive wing, 5 spoke rims on what look like light truck tyres, exhaust hangin 3" below the exhaust gap in the rear bar, huge sticker across front and rear windscreen.

etc etc etc.

Then of course you get the 'upper class' bogans over the otherside of the highway... brand new, very capable 4wd with 30" rims negating the 4wd part completly, straight through exhaust on their V8 that can be heard blocks away, parks in disabled zones, eats babies etc etc.

Mr Hardware will know some of the ones I speak of.

Sounds like you've got some damn good cars in your neighborhood

Seen a couple here too, nothing of that brutality, pet peeve is definitely those 4WD's that have wheels incapable of using 4WD to it's advantage.

I love this thread. We should all be on the lookout for these mutants.

My favourite is going back about 15 years at highschool when a mates dad "who knows best" bought what he thought was a vl commodore at auction for his son (m mate)

Upon my first inspection with a mate i noticed that it had a vk commodore back end on it but with vl front end.. The vl has the lip on it. This one didnt but had a bootlid spoiler to hide it. It was obvious a cut n shut job. We wound back the carpet to see the weld marks.

His dad "who knew best" was completely red faced and embarrassed and tried to say we were wrong. The minotaur vl was born (half vk, half vl).

If i were him with tail between legs sell it even for a loss and start over. but he kept it and copped the minotaur taunts and snickering from the whole neighbourhood for a good 10 years+

Long as the owner likes it I'm sure they don't care what we think and they shouldn't either.
