Having a conversation with a more tech savy bloke about the AU's today.
I told him I did all servicing & repairs on my AU When he mentioned I should at least take it to Ford to have any lastest Flash updates done. (WTF) What is Flash updates & is it a myth. As the car runs well with 12.3 around town & down to the high 8's per 100Kms on long trips. The only thing I notice is when the revs hits just over 5,000RPM the mtr gets a small missfire. I put that down to the VCT ecu stopping over revving of the mtr. buickman |

They flash a new programm into your ecu very much like windows patch which is meant to be better.

Stav is spoton. The AU's are able to take an EEC calibration update via the OBDII port (like the BA's).
If your car is running OK, then no need to really worry about.
