Default AU2 headunit repair

Hey there,

Wondering what it would cost to have my AU2 premium sound headunit repaired. (the one with the lovley 6cd stacker.)

All that needs to be done is the backlighting, only the screen lights up, nothing else! Would like that fixed.

Cheers

Hi there, I have a single CD type Genuine Unit and sometimes it plays CDs and sometimes it decides it won't. I am guessing there isn't TOO much wrong with it but I am no expert with these things and so, I was wondering if you could give me a ball-park figure to fix it.

The unit is from an AUIII XR6. It also seems to have issues with the LCD display not displaying all characters all the time.

Thanks a lot Fadi for that. I will have to sort out finances first.
BTW, this is just the single CD type? and, do you require the old one back?

I'm gonna have to go down the same path with my AU as well. $210 including postage is good for a brand new one. Did it come with the code?

Not trying to be smart, but it would be fairly useless if it didn't.

Great price though.

Are the 6 stacker ones available?

I had heard a couple of times that people bought head units (Unknown where they were purchased from) but had to get them programmed to the code of the exisiting one that came with the car from new...Unsure how true that is, Just what I had heard.

Fair enough, but Fadi from ASL is a sponsor here and from my experience reputable, so I'm pretty confident this would be as legit as it gets.

Fadi, Old thread I know but...

Can you still supply new replacements for the an AUIII.
Also, what is the likely cause for the electric aeriel stopping working. Is there a fuse, is it driven from the head unit??

Thanks
