Hi All
Does anyone have, or know where i can get the side skirts from the for Cougar Eibach... I know there was only 100 brought into Australia but has anyone taken them off, or has anyone see them in a friends garage? I really would like to have some if they are at the right price. I have tried the US out but with no luck :( Below is an example in-case anyone to know. Cheers! |

Front lip and side skirts are rare things to find. They were made by Visteon in USA. If there is a place you can find them, then it should be US.
Another option is to use existing skirts as sample to make moulds and then make as many as you like. I think it will cost around $150 to make the mould and another $100 to make the skirts using the mould. There are people who make such moulds. If you are willing to go with the moulds, I can give skirts from my kat to make the moulds, only if you are located in Melbourne. cheers Yogi

From what I've read the Eibach body kit was based on the US Visteon kit, but Tickford modified it and made it lower profile for more ground clearance to better suit Aussie conditions. The Visteon hood scoop and rear spoiler are the only unmodified parts from the Visteon kit. All of them are hard to come by. Wreckers that I've found that list they have an Eibach wrecking tell me that the first parts to go from the car is always the hood scoop, body kit and wheels (I've rang quite a few looking for hood scoops).
Getting large items like wings, front lips/bumpers or side skirts sent from the US can be expensive. I've just been quoted US$750 just for the shipping/insurance of a wing from California to here. With large items like this is goes on package volume and not package weight.

Hey guys, I had to change my account as something weird was going on with my login...
Yogi, That would be awesome to do, unfortunately I'm from Sydney tho. Do you know the people that can make the moulds and reproduce it? I know that if you did reproduce them you might make some $$$...There is a few US guys that were after them too. If that's all that you think it would cost to reproduce and your willing, id kick in the cash upfront or work out a deal. K10wN, I have also looked into the Visteon kit in the US (asking around on the forums) but with no luck and postage sucks big time... everyting is soo cheap over there but when you factor in postage it is killer! |

Woolz, personally I don't know anyone who can make moulds however, one of AFF members in Perth owns couple of Eibachs and he got the quotes from a Ford dealer that I mentioned earlier.
Work has been hectic these days and some personal things kept me busy. On top of all these my car is grounded as am doing some work on it, which is why I couldn't make enquiries being in Melbourne. Am sure there will be many or atleast few in here that can make moulds. I made an online enquiry and they responded lately asking to contact them by phone. I will talk to them on Monday and do some enquiries locally too. cheers
