I have a nokia 5410..
Great phone, got it because my job envolves crawling around dark and dirty spaces and sometimes wet spaces and this phone is splash proof, dust proof and can be dropped repeatedly without a problem.. It even made it through the washing machine without a problem.... My next phone will be the next 54 series phone as they are awesome and can take a beating without problems... |

I've got a 3100, don't need a camera cos I've got a digital one. Mobile phones are for calling and smsing people, that's it. We used to manage quite fine without them. And everyone in our family is on Vodafone prepaid. Vodafone have the best coverage where we are, plus good value for money.

Ive got a Motorla E398. Colour screen, bluetooth, camera, video playback, MP3 player, WAP, MMS, email, instant messenger, 64mb removable memory.
Good phone and havent had any problems with the phone itself just the software you use to transfer files from the computer. |

I have a Nokia 6670...
It is an ok phone, but have had lots of problems with it. Can't wait for my contract to end to buy something new. The problem these days you think you have bought an awesome phone on a 2 year contract, the next day there is a much better phone out. |

6610i , 7250i, 6100, 7110, 5110, they are the one that are active, drawer full of other relics. Next phones whatever Optus decides they want to give me, I should say whatever pop port Nokia they decide to give me.

6230 - Love it to death. Live TV streaming with Optus Zoo (ABC and SBS), Video/Camera with MMS, MP3 player, removeable memory flash card 32MB (which I purchased a 500MB to use as a mini Ipod clone), FM Radio, Bluetooth, absolutely the best phone I've ever had. Great battery life, small as and light to boot. A ne cover only costs $15 from the markets too when it gets scratched. Recommend to anyone.

IMHO your better off getting a Prepaid Sim and buying a new phone from Ebay. Use it for a month or 2 and sell it to a mate or back on ebay. For me I would only lose 10 or $20 each time but would end up with the latest phone. I use Optus prepaid with the old Freetime charge plan, heaps of people I know have Optus prepaid as well, so the freetime works out well. I worked it out and Freetime is better value for money, if you only call other optus people, than the Turbocharged charge plan by about $100.

The Turbocharged vs Freetime Math if anyone is interested:
turbo: $30 = $120 + $30(4 free messages per day, credit only lasts 30 days) = $150 freetime:$30 = $30 + $222(300 free minutes @ 74 cpm) = $252 Also flagfall is not included in this, but if you call anothe Optus person for short periods, Freetime will work out even more better for value as there is no flagfall for free calls. |

I've got a Nokia 3510. First phone ever to have Polyphonic Ringtones and Multimedia Messaging. Bought it last year from a mate who brought it here from Korea and changed the software to English. They were never sold in Australia.
I've got a Nokia 6210 also that I might start using, I always liked those phones. Bit newer then my 3510 is too. Yep, I'm not too fussed about colour screens and cameras and all that other crap.

Sony Ericsson s700i
best screen available on the market (non PDA phone), 1megapixel camera, has internal memory of 38Mb or so and i can also use a sony memeory stick duo which allows me to use the phone as an MP3 player plus it is one of the few phones available that actually look half decent these days. no plans on changing the phone just yet. had it for 8 months, no probs yet and haven't seen another phone i'd prefer |

a lot more robust then my previous Nokia 3315, which you couldn't look at sideways without the screen cracking: Quote:

I just bought a nokia 6101, mostly because its got the looks IMO, and it is a good mid-range mobile. Would have went for the Samsung e730 if money was no object, great phone, with better features...

I've got a Nokia 2100. What a beast! The battery is giving me trouble and it likes to switch itself off during phone calls. I got it about a year and a half ago because I needed a mobile and it was cheap. I don't spend much time on the phone so Prepaid was all I really needed. One thing I've done is fitted a Ford Racing cover to it. Brightens it up a bit, but underneath it is the same crappy phone.

Ive got a 6230. Best phone ive had. Went on a Optus contract a little over two years ago, got a panasonic GD68, sold that and got a 3200 for $130 bucks new!! And that got stolen so i brought this phone. Had it for what 10 months now, and still not much beats it. Marvelous little phone. Only thing i want now is a Series 60 phone. I want to go on a new contract but theres not much better that i like at the moment. never gonna buy a non nokia again i dont think.

Nokia 8800. Solid, well designed and it offered about the best in terms of car kits in the 616.

Nokia 5140. The "robust" one. Yeah right.
Stopped working one morning, it was barely 6 months old. Took it to Telstra, they fixed it, every time I drop it slightly it turns off. At least the torch still works. |

Everyone i know who has one swears by its "robustness"... I have dropped mine from about 4 metres onto a steel walkway, put it throught the washing maching, its been in a cooling tower at a power station and its still going strong.. WOuldn't trade it for any other phone... |
