I've just been chatting to the local Ford dealer, and he's given a very rough quote on a new XR8 ute.
Without going into too many specifics (I didn't look that hard), it's got slushomatic, cruise, A/C, moo cow seats and maybe 6 stacker. It's the new gold colour, and appears to have the standard brakes fitted. He said just under 40ish, drive away, normally about 46k. Is this good value? I'm not super keen to get a new ute, but was just fishing around, seeing as the sale is on. Who knows, the bug just might bite hard enough! Ed |

Great price. If petrol was not so expensive, I would have a new BA2 Ghia, V8 in my drive for 45,000 Drive away. You have a good deal there mate. Go for it!

Dunno if thats a great price... They are $36,390 plus on roads... and any options the car happens to have.
Id wait another few weeks before I went to buy one as they are going to come down more once the BF is out.. |

Start low and see where you end up.
I am holding out for the new BF and then we are going to buy a 2nd hand BA XR6T. I am expecting to get a very good one for well under $25,000 I bought the Trading post yesterday and i couldnt believe the amount of BA's for $14 and $15,000

paid 40,500 for a magnet pack XR6T 2 mths back, dont settle for that price on a V8 as u can crunch them big time as sales are very slow and a new modle is due to be relesed soon, offer them 39 for the V8, what have u got to loose.
