the cop wrote my number plate down worng. for one of the numbers he wrote an "L" instead of "4". that is the only mistake.

Is your name and drivers licence number on the ticket, If so you are NAILED. However if there is no name or drivers licence number on the ticket you should be able to throw it out . But check with some legal advice first.

first correct thing written in this thread...... The car is not the one that is booked, the driver is, and as long as the driver's details are correct, or correct enough to be identified you won't beat the ticket.

With a parking ticket the car is the one who is booked, and if the car's rego is wrong on the ticket you can safely throw the ticket away as any reminder will be sent to the wrong vehiclé's address.

if he got out of his car and actually wrote you out a ticket (took your license and went and checked the details in the squad car or whatever) and personally handed you the ticket with your name and other details on it then you have no chance in getting out of it at all.
according to the ticket it was YOU driving and speeding. the car itself isnt really important. in the eyes of the law = your car or not = YOU WERE CAUGHT SPEEDING.
pay the fine and dont waste your time.
