Not happy Jan!!
“After a long friendship, spanning more than 50 years, the universe has called the Doctor in a different direction and Doctor Who will no longer appear on the ABC beyond the current season. The BBC has today announced a new partnership with Disney+ to continue the series. ABC audiences can currently enjoy past seasons of Doctor Who, including the recent Centenary Special, on ABC iview. We are incredibly grateful to the generations of Whovians who have enjoyed Doctor Who with us on the ABC. Everyone at the ABC wishes the Doctor well on their adventures and we hope the Time Lord will visit us again at some stage in the future.“

Fine by me, ABC dont even offer 1080p on iView, so I have to download it elsewhere anyway.

Really lost its appeal when Dr Who changed sex, started dribbling on with long dialogues and drifted around the universe with all these people in tow.
Funnily enough we watched the end of last one she appeared in, only last week while waiting for a new show to start when the waffler regenerated back into David Tennant. We thought wow how great is this, only to find it will only last 3 episodes then will turn P.C again. I think Disney will be the perfect place for it now.

I got back into it when Matt Smith took the role. then trailed off again after his stint. Regarding the P.C aspect, these days almost can't voice a dissenting opinion without being labeled racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or binary neutral aversive. ok I made that last one up.
My point is why can't write their own shows and leave the originals alone. |
