G'day all. This YouTube clip gives a good look at the legendary 'Dentist' Phase 4. He seems like a really nice guy. Apologies if this link has already been posted:

I just had this video of the phase IV show up on my YouTube feed, however I was using a different phone to the one I'm using to read this thread.
Very strange.

Would love to know what the falling out with Roy Vallardi with it all was.
I heard about some issues with that Dean bloke saying stuff wasn't done correct for a resto all the way to console badges being reproduced without permission off the original part but it would be interesting to know what actually happened. |

Well, if you can manage 38 pages, over ten years, this might provide a few answers. Hard going to read through now though. |

I remember back then when I asked some questions about peoples motives and agendas for the whole Phase 4 carry on and a message was sent back to me via a mate at the time that knew a person in question quite well for me to shut up or he would see to it that I shut up. I saw him one Friday or Saturday night at one of the usual Sydney car spots so went over to him to find out what he was going on about. Instead of shutting me up he walked off................ |

In Australian Muscle Car, issue 136 2023, there's quite a bit about this car. Very early in his ownership he took it to an All Ford Day in Liverpool.
"The bonnet was opened, because everyone wanted to have a look in the engine bay of course, and I was standing [a] few metres away from the car talking, and I noticed an older guy leaning across the car, levering his screwdriver at the ID plate. A young teenager was laying under the car, ready to catch anything to drop." "The Queensland Falcon GT members all went over and intervened ... " "That experience really influenced me for the future, it made me far more cautious about where I took the car, and who saw it." etc |

I find all the politics about this car absolutely hilarious, I remember the thread about it. The whole thing about it not being concourse (i know it's now sorted), i don't understand the obsession....... The few parts we are talking about didn't make it a non genuine phase 4. The car is and will always be a phase 4.
Even on social media when this video was posted, it's like a bunch of little left out jealous boys whinging about it. Just enjoy it for what it is, at least it survived. I don't know, maybe i'm weird, but the whole GT scene (and other special Fords) in general can be very toxic. After spending time at car shows, most the time you just hear people picking apart cars that have issues or non genuine parts, it's toxic and elitism at it's best (some clubs are great). Hence why I've never taken my cars to a car show. Contrast to going to cars and coffee with many different makes, it's all positive and everyone enjoying looking at and learning about other cars. Enjoyed the video.

But bear in mind, there is just as much hate in the car scene towards ppl who keep their cars stock/concourse from the Chip Foose Modified car scene. GT owners cop more crap than you can imagine, in and out of the scene. Oh that coupe needs 10 inch wheels in the rear.....oooh it needs to be lower.....needs a 600hp motor....blah blah blah |

I know of a former GTHO owner who dropped a bucket load of money into a very desirable car only to crack the s&#ts and sell it after it got runner up in the GT Nationals one year, even look at legal representation after missing out on the $50 trophy

Imagine buying a car just to impress others for your own ego and then getting rid of it because said ego got hurt.
I buy my cars to enjoy them. My garage of AUs proves that. Ain’t no AU with street cred out there.

I can vouch for this after spending a butt load of coin on an AU. Those of you know my vehicle history of said vehicle.

Some of the **** around special cars, is the most childish little boys club, its worse than politics. That Howard Astil XC or what ever it was earlier this year at Summernats was absolutely mint, but people were up in arms over the FG interior, I thought it was wicked, imagine having an oldskool car like that with the modern interior. |
