How the ***** do you let yourself get to that size? .... wouldn't one think at some stage (perhaps when you can't wipe your own a$$) that you would do something about it? And how do they : ....... best not go there!!

Um - did I mention it was a nice truck!

XRCISM I believe that you are missing the point. In America they have the "bidet" - you know, that little water jet thing that looks like a toilet and is set next to another toilet. No wiping necessary.

On a serious note, I agree with outback, it is very very sad and those girls lives will be extremely shortened by their debilitating obesity. Doesn't matter how they got to that stage in their life, they got there.
A little story of a large girl I know that is similar to the girl in the right of the picture. Cushings is a disease which brings hyper obesity such as those in the picture, once familiar with it you realise that not all fat people are fat from eating too much. My friends sister was always really big, went to the same family doctor for years. Went through years of torture at school, name calling, countless diets etc and eventually saw another doctor at age 22 and a weight of 144kg, she wasn't happy with being told she needed to lose weight by her family doctor. So off she went to another doctor in Strathfield NSW. Within a week she was found to have cushings and had a tumour removed. 15 months later she weighs 48kg without dieting. Now she has to face a lot of plastic surgery to get of the unwanted skin. For example, think of miss chokesondick in southpark to imagine the bust that has to be redone.
I'm sure you guys can imagine the depression this girl has suffered all of her life and continues to suffer, as well as the hyper tension, being told she'd probably stroke at 25 years of age, health complications from poor circulation; it aint nice. When you find out more about this stuff it gets harder to laugh about it so sorry if my moralising offends anyone - just those pictures are a little too close to home.

ltd - that's sad. Unfortunately it's probably the minority that have a good reason like that.
I guess I look at it from the other view point because someone close to me died of a stroke from obesity (too much food - not enough exercise) .... and I wish they had done something about it coz I'd rather have them here. I watched them being depressed and missing out on all of the enjoyable things in life - so I always think "do something about it while you can".

I don't wanna turn this into a 'moral discussion on obesity' thread - but the fact is that pic was posted for a laugh at those girls (who would have known that when they posed for the shot - as sad as that is).

True mate, sorry to hear of your loss and you're right, these girls probably would have done it for a laugh. Hopefully it was a shot taken as a before shot at a weight loss camp. Like I said, I didn't want to start moralising but that picture was just a little too close to home.

The truly sad thing is some people actually try and get like that.

Oh yeah, the truck is a 1990s Chevy!
