Got to say I do like it. Hopefully it does make production looking like that.

The red brake calipers just looks cheap. But the attention to detail is incredible, the leaping jaguar emblem is molded into the tyre.

That centre console is taken straight from lamborghini. Otherwise, it looks great.

Inside I give 9/10, exterior 7.5/10. Bit too common looking outside, front especially reminds me of current Nissan GT-R.

It seems to borrow its style from numerous cars.
Throw in some Aston, a little Nissan, add Lambo, a bit of Supra, LFA and out pops the C-X16. From an original styling perspective it is a fail. Do a search on XJ13, this is what a real Jaguar looks like, Jaguar should have used the XJ13 as a base and modernised it - that would be WOW. |

That is something I would give my leftie for ..... have always admired Jags .... that is just so right.

The thing I like about it compared to some of the other efforts from them in the past ...... I look at the rear and for some reason it screams E type .... modestly, most probably because of the slant? but it is there ..... very cleverly done.

Ian Callum has designed some nice cars, but the more I look at this X16, I say WTF was he thinking? I have to disagree with every 2 door on the market looks the same, the 458 Italia or the newer Lambo's have unique and stunning style - nothing else looks like them. |

In this era of aero efficiency almost all vehicles aimed at a common market segment will retain some elements of design except for those who simply want to be different (or lazy, like Porsche). It is clearly a Jaguar, beautifully executed and more importantly, a better use for a hybrid drive-train.
Anything that weighs 1600 kg but can still manage a (Jaguar's figures) 0-100 time in under 4.5 secs and a (limited) top 300km/h speed, gets my vote. That it does so with a 3.0 280 kW S/C V6 and the 70 kw extra from the electric motor while only consuming 5.88 l/100km makes it a hybrid that I could live with. Cheers Russ

Gotta be honest I reckon the facelifted 2012 Jaguar XFR is a much better looking car but from a techincal perspective this breaks new and exciting ground no doubt about that. Wonder if Jaguar will make that 70KW electric boost avilable on other models in due course ?
Thing is with these two door sports cars and looking at the sports bucket seats in particular, people will either fit or they won't and there won't be any give in them. Last interior photo of the seat makes it look fairly modestly sized. No wonder older more generously proportioned gentlemen prefer Bentley's Last edited by Rodge; 29-01-2012 at 01:23 PM. |

God I love the latest Jags, they are just so sweet looking, this takes it up a notch again. Beautiful.
Too bad they couldn't shoe horn the XKRS 404kw sc V8 under there. |

It is indeed a very nice car, admittedly I did think R35 GTR when I saw the front (In the words of James May "Its not a complaint, its an observation"). Dunno if I could live with all that red in the interior though . In a slightly more subtle colour configuration, it'd be a dreamy interior... Personal opinion, of course .
