Default R2D2 The Thunder XR5

Well I got it last Friday my XR5 Thunder Mondeo and I am loving it. The ride, the gadgets, the look. If the weather is a bit better this afternoon I will get some pictures.

Also clocked up my first 500km this morning, I cant get out of the thing.

James

Open a photobucket account. It'll save you having to resize everything to fit it onto the forum attachment limit. Plus, it's heaps faster uploading.

Hey James,

Just wondering what car care products you are using on your car. I also have a Thunder XR5, but I'm not sure what sort of stuff brings out the best in this greyish olive paint.

Cheers

I always use maguires gold class. When I had my WRX it was recommended to me by a car cleaner and I have used it since. The only other brand I would use would be auto glym.

I hope this helps and top choice in colour.

James

Hey James,
What does "Full Dad Spec" mean?
I have 2 child booster seats in mine - I'm hoping the Full Dad Spec means something more...

Hey Zippy
Not really, I laugh at the different website where people say they have Full ??? Spec, So I have a booster seat, a stroller, a couple of toys (as my daughter would say - her babies) on the back seat, a portable DVD player in the glove box for any long trips, and on the back of the passengers seat a fold down tray for my daughter to draw and play with her toys.

I would like to and still contemplating, full exhaust, air intake, ecu reflash custom tune, new front mount and different turbo, however, because I drive my daughter around I really dont want to make it undriveable or a theives target.

Hope that helps, it is more for a laugh than anything. Also for the amount of time I have used that saying on many car websites no-one has ever asked. Thanks

James

Yep from Rockingham. You may have seen the plates on my previous cars.

What about you, you from the land of the swinging ping.

Hey XR8-200

Next time you see me, give me a wave or a flash of the head lights. Always good to see another forum member.

Plus I was suggested to remove my DVD player from the car as it the only one in Rockingham, and there wouldnt be to many in Perth and I just advertised that I kept a DVD player in the glove box. So now there is nothing in the car worth anything. Geez I hate having to remove everything because someone believes they deserve the things you had worked hard to get more than you and steals it.

Sorry for the little rant

James

Looks good - the colour is great. Same colour I test drove at Park Ford. I was going to get this colour but my previous cars were silver, so wanted something a bit diferent. Hence went with the Sea Gray.

I like the tinting - definately going to get that done shortly!

Great car
