..I have an FG XR projector headlight with chrome base.
I also have a FG XR STD headight in black, I want swap the projector lights into the black base..... bought the projector off FB so cannot return it.

It’s not ideal.
The lenses are bonded to the housings by a process that first “wets up” the mating lines with a plasma jet, then they’re bonded with a two part silicon polymer that reacts chemically to cure. The best a backyard repair can do, is carefully cut along the seam (a hot wire or hot knife may be needed) then hope your polyurethane sealant remains stuck to the polypropylene housing upon reassembly. |
