Yes GMH have decided to make yet another recall on its brand new cars.
This time it is a serious and needs urgent attention The problem is the : THE LOOSE NUT BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL " GHM management said any one crazy enough to buy one of there products need to seen by a specialist to work out why they did buy a GMH product

I own a VF, I'd rather them recall it then take the chance and risk my health. Makes you wonder how many issues are allowed to slide by all manufacturers and how many of these issues GMH would have recalled without the issues in USA with GM currently.

Seat bases are a good example. Holden found an issue with early build VF seat bases (something regarding a weld or so I read) so they recalled all of the cars. FG Falcons on the other hand have been plagued with seat base issues since 2008 (they crack and require welding to fix) yet no recall has been issued. I think after all the strife they've gone through in the US recently GM has gotten very trigger happy with recalls.

The scarier part is thinking that the car companies do the sums on the cost of doing the recall vs the cost and odds of the issue going worst-case and ending up in a lawsuit.

Interesting... I've had a BA and 2 FGs and no seat issues with my 110 kg butt in them..... Did I miss something?

There's a difference between something breaking early due to wear or heavy occupants and something breaking because you didn't finish the job properly.

Its hard to say with some of these faults , there are some pretty big dudes and dudets out there stress testing the chairs, and you watch how some dudes plop on the seats its a wonder they last for 15 minutes.

Every car will have design faults, it's how the factory handles them that counts.
Do they stand up, recall them and address it, or pretend they arnt happening that to me is the real question How long did it take ford to own up to the territory ball joint debarkle as said above they have had seat base issues since 2008, hell the last new ford I brought was in 07 (I've had 3 new cars since then but I couldn't be bothered with new fords) and it had a loose steering wheel nut on delivery, and the sales guy shrugged it off saying it wasn't uncommon
