Happy Australia Day!! What are all you peeps doing today? Me and a couple of mates are going to be cooking a nice wood fired roast on the BBQ we made. Although Brisbane is expected lots of rain and wind, it wont dampen our Australian spirit.

Was going to have a 40th birthday party, but now think might have to cancel due to weather. Had a live band coming and about 60 odd people, unfortunely I don't have enough cover to keep everyone out of the rain. And the back yard is already looking like a slosh pit. Oh well they are the breaks and they say we need the rain.

Just had a lamington with my morning coffee. Having a bbq for lunch - and some party pies/sausage rolls for dinner. Will start on the beers at lunchtime.

Isolated in camp on Curtis Island near Gladstone. Not what I had organised but its out of my control. I am still a lot better off than some of the other poor people in Central Queensland.

I took a bus to Sydney, and picked up my new ride, that I had paid for during the week....I enjoyed the trip home, that's for sure.

Had a small street BBQ for us and our multicultural neighbours, (Poms, Canadians, Israelis, Croatians, Irish and Tasmanians) LOL, now quietly sitting by the pool having a few beers.
God I love Australia .

Drinking beer and watching a massive storm come past. Funnily enough it's complete opposite to last year.
We barely cracked 30 degrees and had so much rain but this year its been over 30 most days and had barely any rain. Laugh and think this is Australia as the great song goes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML9h3I5Uktw |

I started the day by landing my $500 rc plane upside down (was doing a low inverted pass and my finger slipped off the control, have done this pass 100's of times, but it only takes one mishap to ruin the plane), then this afternoon, I put my cat on his 4m lead, went out the back and fell asleep on the sir walter while the cat enjoyed his hour outside.

Attended the Redlands-based classic car rally at Ormiston as I have for the last 14 years. Numbers were half the normal size obviously due to the weather.
As you can see, it's a very empty oval. |

Mind your language.....I treasured my 4.4 all alloy V8, and it would carry twice as much beer as anything that you had......

I spent it drinking copious amounts of German beer in Berlin, minus 6 deg!! Happy Australia Day,all. Ps, apparently the weather in brisbane couldn't be more different than here at present,..I have a sinking feeling that my shed will be flooded.

Yea we thought it was pretty special there wasn't many cars there but we met some nice people, the 46 Chev with us had a break issue and one of the guys at the show (the one with the AC Cobra) took my mate up to get some fluid and offered tools etc and then took my mates wife for a joyride in the Cobra while we fixed the Chev car people are good people
