Default Police Shoot Student With Stun Gun And Arrested For Asking Question (ON YOUTUBE)

This is unbelievable. Soon enough it will be shoot to kill.

www.news.com.au
Quote:
AN AMERICAN university student was held down and shot with a Taser stun gun by police in the middle of a question-and-answer session with former presidential candidate Democrat John Kerry.

Footage of yesterday’s incident at the University of Florida has appeared on YouTube and has already attracted more than 66,000 views.

In the clips, a young man asks Senator Kerry why he didn’t dispute the results of the 2004 election, while four uniformed officers stand behind him.

After he asked Senator Kerry if was a member of the same secret society as US President George W. Bush, who won the election, the officers tried to remove him.

He was then dragged towards the back of the lecture hall before being held to the ground and hit with the Taser.

According to the Associated Press, 21-year-old Andrew Meyer was charged with resisting police and disturbing the peace.

You dont think its because he resisted them do you?

Im not sure why he was being removed, but resisting them was pretty dumb.

There was a similar thing a while ago in the US with a student in the library, same scenario. Cant believe someone would dare put their hand on em. Mummy and Daddy fill their heads with crap about being great, and entitled, then they meet the real world. Fools paradise.

He asked a valid question. What did he do? I thought that the US was the "land of the free and the home of the brave" Any decent lawyer will take those cops and hang them out to dry. And I hope they do. He was loud and vocal. He was never violent.

Free speech does not equal disrupting an organised event. Free speech is organising your own. That was not free speech.

He was asked to leave, he should have left. The public are expected to obey lawful commands of enforcement officers. If the order to leave was unlawul, there is a right and wrong place to make that argument and it isnt where he chose.

Parents, this is what happens when you fill your kids heads with cr4p. This tool cant believe anyone had the audacity to lay a hand on him. Teach your kids they are great, but teach them boundaries. That tool thinks he is still in elementary school.

What a dumbass question to ask in the first place the cops were probably only intending to escort him out initally and not arrest him but he refused to comply with them so then it becomes resisting arrest if he had of done as he was asked he wouldn't have got the taser simple as that.
Not saying i totaly agree with it happening to him cos there were enough cops to get him out but it did and thats life in the u.s.a so it seems....Do as your told or we will friggen zap ya....

The only thing thats about as stupid as the police in that situation is the amount of people that didn't do a thing when they probably knew it was wrong.

Did you hear the crowds screams when they hit him with the taser. The whole crowd was on his side and they did nothing. I know you should respect the police and stuff but come on the guy told them that if they let him up he'd walk out with them. Typical yank cop. Shoot first ask question later.

It looked to me as if the dimwit asked a pointed question to which i doubt anyone expected an answer, just to be provoking. He was being escorted out before he makes more of a scene and then he was clearly resisting and disturbing the peace.

For all we know there could have been careful editing before this and he could have been rambling for a few minutes and asking nuisance questions.

If he had just walked out quietly with them he wouldn't have been shocked or arrested.

lol... another conspiracy theorist

The theory was that George Bush and Kerry were both members of the Skull and Bones Society at Yale university, reputably with some very powerful members, who wanted the new world order. Some say that whether or not Bush or Kerry won their contested election, both would of done the same things as what Bush has done during his term in office as part of the order

Sounds like a movie script doesnt it

Respect for others is needed .... you could here this guy was a knob by the way the crowd applauded when he was lead away. The only screamin you heard was from the knob. Serves him right.......bring it in here. Might stop some of the violent protesters as well.

He was obviously asked to leave, the police are simply doing their job. What is the big deal? As for the topic, the alarmist comment about shooting next, has already happened, China........

without knowing the full extent of it you really cant comment. it does seem to be a violation of first ammendment rights but who knows what happened before it.

A longer version and not so clear one, but it does show some more footage of him asking John Kerry questions at the start.

I don't think it was the police, more likely just the campus police. I've read he was warned prior that he would be escorted from the building for asking that type of question. Obviously he was only being escorted to start with. Even when he started trying to get away from them they were civil. He wasn't arrested until he began willingly trying to force his way back in. He was given fair warning that he would be tased if he didn't comply. Had they been more patient with him he may well have left but how much time do you give someone who's deliberately making a scene like that. I'm not trying to defend the cops here but they have a job to do and while it looks bad on camera it was the quickest and safest way to deescalate the situation. Hopefully next time he'll be a little more compliant.

it comes down to use of excessive force.

those 2 female cops could have tazer'd him and noone would have blinked an eyelid. its after those big burly blokes and a couple of others stepped in to hold him down and THEN tazer'd him that questions can be made of whether it was really neccessary or not.

Non lethal force, an option when someone violently resists, why risk injury to police members when other options such as tazers exist?
