I am planning to get Fiesta CL...has anyone bought it recently and at what price? With end of year coming and dealer try to clear 2012 plate/model, what price do you think I should be aiming? Is $14000 sounds about right? Appreciate any feedback.

$14,000 is a bit light on... Search carsales in your state and look for the cheapest one.
Cheapest new I can find is $14,665 with safety pack.. Thats a pretty good deal! |

Thanks. I heard that we should at least aim 10% off the price, and 10% of the advertised $15990 is about $14400...that is why I thought $14k is quite reasonable...although I guess depends on what options/accessories that is included, I think I'll be happy to accept somewhere around $14500. Didn't plan to accept windows tinting dealer usually offered, hoping that will lowered the price down.
Oh...can you tell me where you find $14665? Maybe I could use it for reference. Thx. |

Q Ford Queensland - That price is very good and I reckon they are losing $$ on that. Always remember the cheaper the retail price the less margin... Make sure you get one with a safety pack which is pretty much standard on the later ones. |

GET the safety pack.
Pay more if you have to, but get the safety pack. |

Some with old compliance plates may not have it.

Just offer them $14000,tell them you will buy it now, and tell them to go get the paperwork...thats what I normally do...worst thing they can do is say no..I doubt the dealer would want to lose a sale for a few hundred dollars.

Just sign today for $15k...most dealer i went refuse to go that low so i reckon i got a not too bad deal although maybe it could be a lil bit better. Generally people got it for 15 plus mark so i guess i can live with 15k. Dealer does not seem desperate to get the sales too,but quite accomodating and friendlier than other dealer i went .

dec 20 2012 i got a black cl manual with safety pack, mats, prem plates and delivered 65km to my home for $15488, had 87km on it when i got it. and paid the deposit on the deliverd day i was not pressure to pay on the spot like most dealers too.
most dealers wanted me to buy their stock in a colour i didn't want so i'm sure if i wanted silver i could of got cheaper but i wanted black and i'm happy, i just got my accessories from china as they mow make and sell fiesta's locally like mudflaps for $16 delivered.

Can anyone tell me what the fuel range for manual fiesta cl is? I got around 420-440 km on full tank. I mean if I calculate manually from the fuel I filled in and the km taken, I think it was around 9.2 L per 100 km and I was expecting somewhere around 7 or 8 at least. I only drive it from suburb to city, not much freeway or highway I know but is that level of consumption something that I should expect or should it be better?

new cars use more fuel than older cars apparently however mine is 3000km old and i could average 5.8l/100km highway only driving slower than 110kmh, 6.3km doing 110kmh, 6.5 with a/c on and now only doing 8km to work in traffic 7l/100km. 9.2l is falcon useage
i get about 450 before it says 90km to go most i have got before a refill was 550km and a mate has the same car he can get just on 600km but not often.

I always get a minimum of 550kms out of a tank. However in the early days, the economy was pretty average. once worn in though it got much much better. even just after the first tank i noticed a difference.
i normally average 6.5-7.5 / 100 around home. on the highway i get a consistent 5.8/100 doing 110kmh, doing slightly less on the highway does make a difference on the economy tho. i have to mention i have seen as low as 4.8/100 at times (completely flat road, doing 80-100km/h. |
