the fantastic people next door had techno blaring solidly until 3am this morning. I managed to fall asleep a little after that, but set my alarm so i can hit the yard with the line trimmer & mower.

I may or may not concentrate my efforts outside their bedroom window

its also reasonable to think there still drunk and may look for a fight, so just limbering up atm lol

If you have colour bond fencing you know you need to edge lightly against it dont go to hard so you mark it just lightly, unfortunate if you go lightly it makes a little more noise but that's better than damaging your fence

Also those petrol powered edgers with th steel blade do an excellent job against your drive way and side path

Talking REALLY LOUDLY to the missus about the progress of your yard work is also helpful to alleviate the boredom from doing said yard work.

Yea it never ceases to amaze me how some neighbours just love to stretch the friendship by carrying on like turkeys all night, then are the first to whinge when your mowing or doing actual work on your house during daylight hours....

Yes...We woke up this morning to our neighbour playing the song of his people....Petrol Whipper snipper! Least he waited until 7am!

(and no...we did not have a party last night, blarring music until all hours! )

just to add to my original post, these are the neighbours on the other side. I talked to the bloke a couple times, he seemed ok, then he went quite, then he put up steel posts on the gutter between the fence line to prevent us from taking our driveway wide as its a steep gutter with it being a little washed out



you can imagine how awkward it was entering our house, it took 3 months for the the council to make him take it down, and i managed to keep it together in that time. I dont like confrontation becuase i have a very short fuse with certain people

+1 for washing the car with a really noisy pressure cleaner and the occasional overspray when cleaning the roof.

The kicker for me would be old school country music blaring away. I'm talking old school ie Dolly Parton, Slim Dusty, Willie Nelson etc...

Council couldve just removed it without bothering to say anything to him as its council land.

wow, the bloke seems like abit of a goose for doing that.

i have an elderly single lady on one side with a little fat (cute) dog that barks at me every so often, on the other is an elderly couple that say hello to me while im in the yard working...
the house two houses up from mine (couple in their 30s)had a party last weekend, playing **** dance music really loud & to top it off they were also bashing away on a drum kit till 3am.

I do make abit of noise every so often working on the cars but i wait till after 9am to do so, never had an issue.

the couple whos yard backs onto my place would wake me up as early as 5am with ROARING arguments, they would also argue all night, doesnt happen anymore because one of them moved out.

theres a difference between cutting across the very top corner of someones yard, as opposed to doing figures 8's with arm out the window flapping the bird.

if you think keeping every single square inch of lawn in upmost pristine condition and being a ***** to enforce it, is more important than blending into society then good luck to you.

tbh, i dont the lawn was the issue, he only did that to be shti stirrer, since he never mentioned any problems to me previously. People like that need a kick in the head, not to be applauded

He is entering his own driveway and the kerp looks steep (not a proper angled concrete driveway entrance by the looks of it).. cant see an issue with that.
If he was say using his neighbours driveway to jump the gutter and drive onto footpath etc, spinning wheels in the dirt, then i would take issue.

My housos next door were constantly using my driveway (their driveway is 25m away) to drive up onto the footpath to park. Spinning tyres in the dirt each and everytime. Planted two large shrubs (asked council) and drove star pickets to prop them up. Council said as long as the plants dont block the footpath completely its fine with them. Postie has room to ride between them.

Also add the guy across the road planted two star pickets on footpath as the unit dewellers next door to him would also use his driveway and drive 20m along his footpath to park!

Obviously you blokes don't understand sarcasim , in his mind your making his lawn look bad , I delt with a similar situation ages ago and chatted the neighbour eventually getting the council involved so can see both sides . Personally I feel the gutter is an excuse to be lazy and not make a suitable ramp or enter from the other direction although erecting the pole fence seems pointless

Take the coil lead off and try and start the car until the battery goes flatt, just winde it over four or five times get out sware at it then get back in, and go again slambdesigns the door randomly between attempts, stop for random periods some times 5 mins ont time 10 the next just so they can't quite get back to sleep

Nearly every Friday night the mother next door goes and and her kids and friends used to kick the footy into our fence, light petrol bombs, throw sparkers everywhere.
All this whilst having a 6month old baby in the front room of our unit. Been so tempted to call DHS on the silly bong rat.

only other thing you can do is move........... im moving house next week, very much looking forward to it, just hoping the new neighbours arent ******.
