Does anyone know if you can lock the doors of an 08 Mondeo from inside the car? (eg. while driving) Or is it possible to have the doors auto lock when you drive away? My wife likes to have the doors locked mainly at night when sitting at lights etc.

Not sure about the doors auto locking but you can lock the doors from the inside. Just above the drivers doors open lever is another small silver coloured lever. Push this in towards the door and it locks all doors.

I'm 90% sure that it wouldn't let me move it, but I'll double check when she gets home from work.

Hi,
My wife likes to do the same thing. As suggested by marcusturbo, the door lock lever above the door handle will do this - well it does on mine anyway (2009 model - think 2008 and 2009 are the same model - 'MA'). When she's finished driving and opens the door using the door handle, the indicators will flash in the normal manner - indicating the car's unlocked. There's no feature on mine that will auto-lock the doors when you say select Drive. Cheers. |

My 07 build has auto locking activated. It's in the IDS and it's called 'anti-hijack'.
It was a PITA to get the dealer to find it and activate it as they knew nothing about it. Use the search forum function and type in 'auto locking', I'm sure you'll find the threads. Also check the euro forum (http://www.fordmondeo.org/forum/show...807d0b153a3b4/) and see what they say.
