Default Huge Hail Storm - Blacktown - Seven Hills

Hey all.

Just had a huge hail storm here.

I mean HUGE.

Check out this photo

The EB copped a few hits in my dash down to the Seven Hills carpark. I now have dents in the bonnet, roof and bootlid. One hit the roof so hard the interior light cover fell down. The storm lasted around 15mins and the hail just got bigger as it went.

The ED Ghia also has dents as well as a huge crack in the windscreen.

The house though is fine.

Anyone else have damage?

BenJ

If you copped a few of those bad boys you will be making close friends with the panel shop, paintless dent removal will never get those out.

2005 Ulladulla hailstorm, $14.5K damage to a 3 month old Futura. Lumley's fixed it.

Sorry to hear that. Hailstorms suck. Good news about the house though, that's a whole pain you don't want to go through.

Would of been cheaper for them to fix it than write it off as if they wrote it off they would of had to replace it with a brand spanking new model with same extras.

All comprehensive motor policy's have new for old in the event of a total write off for at least the first 12 months on a brand new car.

CGU have 3 years New for Old in the event of a total write off

Are you saying that a crappy, cheap car cover will somehow 'protect' your car from fist-sized hailstones?

Mate, the hail stones were that big that a cover wouldn't have offered much protection.
