Default Vegemite appreciation thread

good/bad

i find its good in small doses u cant chuck it on as much as u can say jam or choko spreads

I even had withdrawals from it when i was in europe coz there was nothing to put on my toast in the mornings besides jams/cheeses and meats

Who else loves it???

I'm a big vegemite fan. I like it thick on toast, and wash it down with a nice cup of coffee... just the thing to start your day!

I much prefer Vegemite to marmite too, despite Vegemite being made in the west island.
I'd never buy marmite here, mainly because it's made by sanitarium, a company that uses its organisational background to have the privilege of not having to pay company tax.

Vegemite, Marmite doesn't matter. It's definitly an acquired taste and in the mornings with a milo is awesome, coffee too.
I like watching people who have never tried it before specially overseas visitors, the grimicing faces are priceless lol.

For some reason I don't like it anymore. Guess I just grew out of it. Not that I eat breakfast that often anyway.

i tend to agree. there is something utterly horrible about it. funny though, people who hate vegemite usually love that promite stuff - which i find is ok

theres only one Vegemite and thats Vegemite.
i like it on toast but spread lightly with lots of butter/marge.
seems im getting old now and if its too thick, it burns for hours after i eat it.

the best is grilled cheese and Vegemite on toasted bread!!
