I'm going with my mate tonight to look at his car and want to check the compression of the cylinders before he hands money over.
I don't have my gregory's on me atm so can you confirm these steps are correct. 1. Remove leads and ALL spark plugs. 2. Remove TFI module (so it doesn't start and easier of earthing coil I was told). 3. Plug gauge in cylinder 1 spark plug hole and crank for 5 turns at WOT. 4. Repeat in other 5 cylinders? I'm not missing anything am I? Main thing is safety I don't want it setting on fire. Also what else should I check on it mechanical wise? |

basically all of that is correct except it isnt neccesary to remove the leads completely (if thats what you meant?) just unplug them from the spark plugs and also it isnt neccesary to remove the tfi module
Hope that helps, Corey |
