Default Can we change the banner?

To be honest i think the current banner is a tad outdated, especially considering 2 major falcons had been produced since the banner had been changed (BF & FG)

I thought we could start a competition in the photoshop section?

yea start with the T, then the A then a 32, 34, 36, 38, lets not start the modden stuff like the XY.

Personaly I dont have a problem with the current banner, the cars featured in it do nothing for me, and fall under the "just transport" catagory for my personal tastes, but the banner is well known (as far as internet banners go) and until there is a change in models that actualy looks like a change lets face it the BF and BG are just freshen ups off the BA (yes I know every pannel is different blah blah blah, but it still looks like a BA, the VE dunnydoor looks vastly different over the VZ so I can see why but BG please!!! I cant see any point in changing just yet

There was a similar thread started not long ago, and different designs were up for voting.

Wouldnt call the BF a 'major' update, but yeah a fresher banner would really update the site IMO

I think a BA GT, BF GT and a FG GT on the banner would look good!

The debate will go on forever.

You can't please everyone.

Personally I don't come here to look at the banner, I come to read/participate in the discussions and community.

The whole site needs a make over, and an update, and add some themes that the users can choose from!

This thread would be better titled "Should we change the banner?"

I think we should.

I noticed that "La Rust Administrator" with the Thunderbird avatar was gone. I had a look at it and laughed my head off

Yeah, yeah okay...
Will there be a banner change or not? It does look a little out-dated without an FG.

I seriously don't see an issue with the layout ... it is clear, concise and easy to use.

A banner change might be a nice change ... and I do remember Big Pete's and HLC images to be some of the better ones that were up for voting.

I think the site is great, but a new banner would be nice. How about a randomising banner from all the entries in the comp that was held a while ago?

What happened to that comp anyway?

So what is the official word from Laminge and/or Russellw? Can we hold a competition to change the banner with your approval?

I quite like the idea of a rotation, so we could keep the current one, and say a GTHO one, FG one etc, etc. Just trying to keep everyone happy!

personally i like the banners that big pete did. and the fact that on the banner there are 2 AU,s... a bit pointless. AU-BA/F-FG i think would be good in the current banner style. no need for 2 AU's

Care to explain why it is a bit pointless, or is that just your opinion because you personally don't like the AU.

It is the same banner that was there at the start nearly 4 years ago, don't be messing with tradition
