Default Ford Fiesta Metal (Limited Edition)

Hi Guys,

I just bought my Mrs a Fiesta Metal - some limited edition (250 in Aust). http://www.ford.com.au/fiesta-metal?...estaMetal_Home

It looks great and does the job and most importantly the Mrs likes it.

My question is....if Ford are labelling the car as limited edition of 250 in Aust, why is there not a "25/250" badge or some id on the car labelling it a limited edition?

Is this something I can request from the dealership?

Thanks

Arent these 'old' WS Fiestas? I cant remember and correct me if im wrong.

Still a bloody nice looking car thats for sure, congrats on the purchase. Ford have plenty of 'limited editions' w/o 'build numbers. Get some pics when you get it.

I wouldn't say old as they would of been built in 2011/12 not exactly sure with these ones.

Basically the WS is the German spec while WT is Thailand. The WS is the current model over there.

They are left over cars from Germany that hadn't found a home so they sent 250 to Australia, good deal of those I reckon. Take it for a run in drive down the ocean road and see if your wife can keep up in the BA and you'll know all about it.

On Carsales they are listing it as a WT Fiesta Zetec Metal

greenfoam - the mrs still wont hold the throttle down when she drives my car.

I was surprised at the cornering when I took a few at speed, enough that the salesman told me to drive properly!

The clutches are so light in the new cars, I used to drive a manual XD, almost put my foot through the floor.

They are the old WS: the metal has been around in Europe for a few years now. It would interesting to see what the official build date is on the ones sent to Aus....

$26-$28K? That'll buy you a Polo Gti with 132kW and dsg box...

How much will the metal make the Fiesta ST?

No it hasn't, it was released at the end of 2011. There was the S1600 before however.

DSG isn't what it's made out to be.

Metal will probably be sold out by the time the ST is released next year therefore it will barely make a difference. A large amount of people buying the Metal will not know about the ST coming next year.

Can't get a Polo for that money on the road. Might get a Skoda Fabia RS, though.
