Default weird one on ebay

Looking at these pics I am almost certain that they are of Adams old ute (Falkeen) before it was finished and sold. I wonder what the story is here?

Yep, a 2001 AU ute, 5.6 litre, first registered in 1997? Smells like a scam to me!

And the engine number reveals a 2002-built engine... I'll also have to check the meaning of "SW", something tells me it may mean sedan, not ute...

Feedback rating and join date dont look to convincing. Looks really dodgy. Certainly something to keep away from.

JGSW (SW for Sedan)
JGCM (CM for Commercial)
JGWA (WA for Wagon)
JGAT (AT for All Terrain = Territory)

That VIN also comes from a 2002 built vehicle - JGSW2L30380 where the "2" after JGSW denotes build year and the "L" denotes the month, although not sure what month L was in 2002.

Full VIN would be 6FPAAAJGSW2L30380 if correct (for a sedan)

So this is dodgy based on that VIN.

At any rate I just reported it.

Thanks for that, I remember seeing the list of codes for the months but can't remember where.

That's just an engine number, not a VIN. My point is that it isn't the original engine if it is a 2001 model.

The penny didn't drop until I was heading out & offline this morning.

A "2L" build date (Nov 2002) is invalid for an AU Windsor anyway as the last AU was cranked out when? Aug/Sep '02?

Another scam busted. If only we could do the same to the scumbag who now has the .com domain...
