Hey guys hoping there may some be some trans tech gurus on here.
Going to convert my au forte to an 8 soon and want to stay auto. I dont really want to have to go buy a second hand trans, as i wont really know its condition and will probably need rebuilding which is going to be very costly! What i do know is my trans is real good condition, been serviced, shifts well and has 168k on it. Plan is to run about 3k stall, and have already got a massive trans cooler for it. Whats the internal differences? if there is, any way i could i have my trans modded to handle a v8? dont really know how the btr's work! as far as i know the valve body aint nothing like the old c4/c10 and cant have a shift kit put through to increase line pressure and handle that bit extra! |

Different models too. 93LE and 97LE. Not sure of all the differences though, but I am sure that is researchable.
Edit: Just looked in the WS Manual - no obvious listing as to the differences - just one is for 6cyl and the oter is for 8cyl.
