The entire surround around the cluster, vents, and gear boot.. Used to be ford grey, now it's black..

I'm just doing some touch-ups before AFD ;)

Thanks guys.. there were alot of EF Parts i had been collecting because they're black.. such as EF Headunit, EF Gear Knob, EF Buttons (doors, boot, fuel flap, a/c controls), EF Clock..

maybe paint all the clip in parts as well yagz.
it just looks a little strange with the black surround with grey clock, demist button surround etc...

Is there any reason the manual gear boot cant be used on an automatic??? ;)

nope, i had a leather gear boot on my XF auto with custom wood shifter

ya just wont see what gear ur in....(unsure if high spec clusters had the gear indicator.....) :

Fairlane/LTD did yes Wayne. So do the low/mid if you use the trip meter embeded functions.

Keep my woodgrain surround or use manual leather boot.......

Well, the black EL GT boot (which i have) is around $20 from ford, and the standard grey boot is around $45 from ford.. Go figure..

I have to disagree with you MAD, (not because you didnt wave to me on pako when i flashed my lights at you the other morning... though i was in the sweeper) BUT! i think the grey/black looks good.
