Happy Birthday Gorgeous Colville

I hope you have had a fabulous day being spoilt by your beautiful family.

Haven't been around here at all lately been spending my time on other forums discussing the ins and outs of Hermes over Chanel (like THATS not perfectly obvious!) but I miss you and our chats so know that I am thinking of you on your special day.

Your one in a million.

Txx

(So I have been off this forum for like a year and all my fave smilies are gone - Whats up with that?)

Thank you everyone. Gee, I'm quite humbled actually by all the well wishes and wasnt expecting this. Had a nice day with family and friends and working on my new home up the hill.

Here’s my birthday present.

ohhhh Frame Stage - how exciting its starting to look like a real house already.

Was a bit confused with the layout until I read down further that it is the back of the house! My first thought was - what? no garage... what is he doing?

And then I kept reading down the thread and my heart skipped a beat because you said Queensland in your garage post and I thought you had moved up here and I was stoked... (but wondered why I didn't already know..) but then read "style" and my heart plummented. (By the way my pit crew would love that garage and I love the window - I would make you put a nice pretty curtain on it just to brighten the room )

Think I need a lie down now... I am getting too old for all these emotional ups and downs

Real nice to feel so valued Tori I love Queensland and the inspiration for this home certainly came from when I was last there. The builders down here however think we are nuts!

Just to avoid any confusion below is a picture of a portion of the front, where the garage entrance is.

Lol, well that picture is actually from the rear of the property. Entering from the front there will be room for 3 cars. You can then drive through to the rear of the property where the Wasp's nest will reside out back in it's own house.

Doesn't look like much at the moment. It's made in a queenslander style like the house and will have a verandah. It's a double bay plus work shop on the side. The roof has been volted to allow for a hoist. I would have liked to make it deeper as there's room at the rear, but due to over hanging trees council wasn't so keen on the idea.

Like the others Colville, i am in awe of your new house. I am currently trying to decide if to build or buy and would very much like the amount of garage space that your about to have.

Good to hear your having a good week, all you need now is for the WASP to come home

Thank you very much for the kind comments. It's been a while coming but all the planning has been worth it. We designed the house from scratch which allowed me make the garage provisions I wanted. The only limiting factors really was the council, and of course keeping my lovely wife happy. Would you believe she doesnt share my same love of undercover garaging as I do.

Ian, Tim and I had a bit of a look at "the Wasp" the other week when we accidently stumbled across it
All 3 of us were in awe of it my friend
Glad you are having a good birthday week
My wife is about to start her birthday week, so I best make it a good one for her
