Default Handbrake button?

Just about to fit a leather handbrake to the ute, Ive got the chrome button and Im wondering if I can remove it from the new lever to put it into the existing one.

So before I destroy it, anybody know how to remove the button from the handbrake assembly?

Nah, not screwed in. I've had another look and I can't quite make it out. I wanted to pull it out myself to work it out, but had visions of things going horribly wrong before the 42km drive home from work. LOL

Sorry.

Tell me about it .... I bought one ages ago ... still hasn't made it's way into the ute yet.

It's on the "to-do" list.

Might be your cheapest option though getting it done by a trimmer ... handle as well.

well if anyone wants this one i have to play with, ill sell it for $40 + post (max $10). The leather is ok is just needs a bloody good clean and even then Im not sure how it would come up. The handle is buggered cos I was messing round with it but the chrome button would be salvagable.

Yes, the button just screws out. I'll give you $10 for just the button - not interested in the rest.
