Default au exhaust question

hey all

ive got the car booked in for an exhaust 2morrow and when i rang up today the guy said to me that he can either do a 2 and a half inch exhaust for $300 or a redback exhaust for a few more hundred.

the question is would would the difference be between their system or the redback one?
im pretty keen on the redback but the price he quoted was rediculous.

cheers

Sounds about right. I got quoted $540 to fit a single 2.5" redback system to my V8.
Redback pre-made systems are mandrel bent so there is a bonus.

redback dyno develop their mandrel bent performance exhausts (so I've been told) so your paying fo a good quality well developed system. I hve one and would recomend them to anyone worth every cent

You can get lukey pre made rear sections mandrel bent for 80, 2.5 in and then just a muffler. The 300 jobby will perform just as good.

You can get the redback yourself from Online performance (an ebay shop, that you can pick up from in Melbourne) for around $350. Fitting (on a hoist) wouldn't take more than 30 minutes, so $400 max. Anything else and they are just trying to rip you off.
